I was commissioned by filmmaker Etienne Kubwabo to create a teaser poster and title treatment for his upcoming movie “The Difference Between Us”
How it started
The Difference Between Us (2023)
Alex Watson is a young black man, raised in the secluded Highlands of Scotland by white adoptive parents. When Alex moves to Glasgow, he must leave his protective bubble behind and learn what being black in the modern world truly means.
Film Synopsis
The brief was to create a colourful and vibrant teaser poster that highlighted the individuality of the three main characters while also distinguishing them from one another.

Teaser Design
For the final poster, banner, and soundtrack sleeve I wanted the coloured segments for each character to be the key focal point, harmonizing the visual elements. I also introduced the movie’s villain, more prominently in the final poster and more subtly on the soundtrack sleeve back.
