Youssou NDour
Official concert posters I created for Legendary African singer Youssou NDour for his recent performance in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I was commissioned by AFRO EDIN to create two posters for Grammy Award-winning African musician Youssou NDour for his 2023 Edinburgh concert.
As they were for digital marketing they had to fit both a 1:1 ratio for multiple ticket platforms and a 4:5 ratio for various social media platforms.
The time scale for the poster was extremely brief and had to be completed in a matter of days.
How it started
The aim was to create artwork that could be used seamlessly between the two aspect ratios without the overall structure changing. This meant containing all the concert information within the narrowest Instagram style size.
As Senegal's most beloved musical icon, I wanted to incorporate the national flag by having a Star as the focal point and Integrate the flag colours into the design.
